Privacy Policy

Overview

Vitals Trends (“the App”) downloads a Garmin watch owner’s own health history from Garmin Connect and shows how recent days compare with that person’s earlier days. The App has no account system, no analytics, no advertising and no database of its own. Your data is stored on your iPhone and processed there.

Data stored on your iPhone

• Downloaded history. Daily values such as night HRV, resting heart rate, sleep, stress, Body Battery, steps, respiration and SpO₂, plus the samples Garmin provides for some of them. They are kept in a local database protected by iOS data protection and excluded from device backups.
• Garmin session. After you sign in, Garmin returns session tokens that let the App download your data later without your password. They are stored in the iOS Keychain. Your password is sent to Garmin only and is never stored.
• Preferences. Which metrics you show, the history length you chose, the last sync time and your Pro purchase status.
• Optional AI settings. If you add your own API key for an AI provider, the key is stored in the iOS Keychain. It is never sent anywhere except to the provider you configured.

Data sent to third parties

• Garmin. Your sign-in details go to Garmin’s sign-in service, and the App then requests your data from Garmin Connect on your behalf. Garmin’s privacy policy applies to that account.
• Our hosting. At sign-in the App fetches a small configuration file from our Firebase Hosting site. The request carries no personal data or health data; the hosting provider records standard access logs (such as IP address and time).
• Apple Intelligence (optional). On iPhones that support it, free-form questions in Ask are answered by Apple’s on-device model. The question and your data do not leave the phone.
• Your own AI provider (optional). If you turn on “Answer with my API key”, each question sends your daily values for the last 90 days of the metrics on your dashboard, the glance summary and your question to the provider you chose (for example OpenAI or Google), using your key. The App asks for your consent before the first request and explains this in Settings. The provider’s data policy applies; some free tiers allow the provider to use requests to improve its models.
• Apple. Purchases are handled by the App Store. We receive no payment details.

What we do not do

• We do not run analytics, crash reporting or advertising frameworks in the App.
• We do not operate accounts or servers that hold your health data.
• We do not write anything to your Garmin account; the App only reads.
• We do not sell, share or use your data for any purpose beyond showing it to you.

Deleting your data

Settings → “Delete local history” removes the downloaded database. “Sign out” removes the Garmin session from the Keychain. “Remove key” deletes an AI API key. Deleting the App removes everything it stored. Nothing needs to be deleted on our side, because nothing is held on our side.

This website

The website is static and served by Firebase Hosting. Fonts are served from this site, so your browser does not contact Google Fonts. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and page performance; it sets no cookies, uses no persistent identifiers or advertising profiles, and never receives anything you type into the support form. The support form itself is delivered by a Firebase Function and Resend to the developer’s inbox and is used for nothing else.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with a new date.
